APABA Silicon Valley Hosts Celebration Reception for Lifetime Member Judge Lucy H. Koh

On May 12, 2022, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley (“APABA Silicon Valley”) hosted a celebration reception for Judge Lucy H. Koh following her confirmation to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Judge Koh is the first Korean-American woman to serve as a federal appellate judge. APABA Silicon Valley Applauds the Re-nomination of Judge Lucy H. Koh to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley applauds President Biden’s re-nomination of Judge Lucy Haeran Koh to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. If confirmed, Judge Koh would become the first Korean-American woman and the second AAPI woman from California to serve on the Ninth Circuit. Judge Koh has served as a United States District Judge for the Northern District of California since her appointment in 2010, and previously served as a judge for the California Superior Court for Santa Clara County. Prior to serving as a judge, she spent fifteen years practicing law in the private and public sectors after earning a J.D. and a bachelor's degree from Harvard.
