Judge Chew's dedication to the AAPI community and interest in the law started in high school when he began volunteering for the Asian American Legal Defense Fund (AALDEF). His history of service to the AAPI community continued throughout many years of volunteering for Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), including serving on AACI's board from 2010-2018.
