/APABA Silicon Valley applauds Governor Brown’s appointments of Benjamin T. Reyes II to the Contra Costa County Superior Court and Somnath Raj Chatterjee to the Alameda County Superior Court. “During our visit earlier this year with Josh Groban, the Governor’s Senior Advisor for Judicial Appointments, the API Joint Judiciary Coalition raised a number of issues regarding the dearth of APAs appointed to judgeships in the Bay Area,” said Hogene Choi, President of APABA Silicon Valley. “Governor Brown’s appointments of these two API judges represent an important step forward, and we hope to see continual progress towards equitable representation of the API community in the judiciary.”
