APABA Silicon Valley Congratulates 2016 Diversity Awards Recipients

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley is proud to announce its 2016 Diversity Award winners.  As part of its core mission, APABA Silicon Valley recognizes and honors law firms and corporate legal teams that demonstrate the highest commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, the legal profession, and the greater community.  This year APABA Silicon Valley recognizes the following law firms and corporate legal teams for their exceptional diversity and inclusion work.
 
Beacon Award for Diversity – Berliner Cohen LLP.  This award honors a small law firm whose commitment to diversity and inclusion acts as a beacon for progress in our local community. 
 
Hope Award for Diversity – White & Case LLP.  This award honors a large law firm whose organizational culture drives diversity and inclusiveness on a national scale.  From this firm, we draw hope for progress at all levels of practice. 
 
Ignite Award for Diversity – Lyft, Inc.  This award honors a small corporate legal team’s tremendous efforts to ignite positive change and reminds us that diversity and inclusion endeavors are commendable, regardless of industry or company size.
 
Inspire Award for Diversity – Walmart.  This award honors a large corporate legal department who has championed diversity and inclusion efforts, acting to influence and inspire progress across the legal community.

The 2016 Diversity Award recipients will be celebrated at APABA Silicon Valley’s 31st Annual Awards Gala at Levi’s Stadium’s 501 Club Lounge, on Friday, September 23, 2016.
