APABA Silicon Valley Applauds the Confirmation of Michelle K. Lee as USPTO Director

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley (APABA Silicon Valley) congratulates Michelle K. Lee on her recent confirmation as the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Ms. Lee's new title recognizes her success in the role of Acting Director of the USPTO and as the first director of the Silicon Valley office, as well as her impressive career and contributions to the legal community.

As the first woman and person of color to serve in this position, Ms. Lee's confirmation marks a significant milestone for APA leadership in the public sector and underscores her position as a role model within the APA legal community. APABA-SV is proud to celebrate Ms. Lee as an outstanding APA attorney from the Silicon Valley and an early member of APABA Silicon Valley, and we look forward to her continued success.
