Arpita Bhattacharyya, Ph.D., is managing partner of the firm’s Palo Alto office and focuses on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as client counseling. With an undergraduate degree in electronics engineering and a doctorate in biomedical engineering, Arpita brings diverse technical expertise to her practice in the areas of medical devices, diagnostics, computer software and hardware, and various other electrical and mechanical technologies. She draws on her technical versatility and broad base of patent law experience to advise clients focusing on emerging technologies, such as augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital health. She also co-leads Finnegan’s AI industry working group.
