Mr. Alec Chang

Alec Chang is a partner at Skadden Arps and handles antitrust counseling and litigation matters related to a broad range of industries. He has represented a number of major corporations in connection with antitrust investigations of merger, acquisition and joint venture transactions (both consensual and contested. Alec advises corporate clients on other antitrust and competition matters such as the development and implementation of compliance programs, proposed business plans and strategies, as well as intellectual property matters with antitrust implications.

Mr. Sanjeet Dutta

Sanjeet Dutta is a partner in Steptoe & Johnson’s Palo Alto office. Mr. Dutta’s practice focuses on patent litigation, patent prosecution, licensing agreements, and IP diligence and audits. Mr. Dutta has litigated in state and federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. Mr. Charles Jung

Charles H. Jung is a trial lawyer at Nassiri & Jung LLP.  His practice includes complex litigation, trade secrets, and employment/wage litigation.  And he is a frequent commentator in the legal press on these topics.

Charles graduated with Distinction from Stanford Law School, where he was an Articles Editor for the Stanford Law Review. He earned his B.A. from Duke University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. And he earned his Master’s from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he was a Kennedy Fellow.

Mr. Jean Kim

Jean Kim joined Stiller Kim, PC (then Stiller + Buxbaum) in 2004 and became a Partner in 2013. Mr. Kim obtained his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1999 and was admitted to the California state bar the same year. He is also admitted in Hawaii and the District of Columbia. He received his BA and MA from the University of California, Berkeley. He practiced for 3 years in Hawaii in business immigration and e-business, helping corporate clients establish a U.S. presence and receiving the PacificNews.Net 2002 Hawaii's Top High Technology Leaders Award. He also served as the President of the Korean American Bar Association Hawaii for two years, organizing and hosting the 2002 International Association of Korean Lawyers annual conference. He has been on the Board of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California since 2004, serving as Secretary and Director.  He has also served as Treasurer of the International Association of Korean Lawyers from 2007 to 2014.

Mr. Rudy Kim

Mr. Kim is a partner in Morrison & Foerster's Palo Alto office, where he focuses on intellectual property and patent litigation. He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Kim previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan D. Lourie of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Hon. Sallie Kim

Hon. Sallie Kim is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California's San Francisco Division. Prior to her appointment to the federal bench, Hon. Kim was a litigation partner at the law firm GCA Law Partners, LLP, with a practice covering a broad spectrum of complex and commercial matters, including general commercial litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, securities litigation, and real estate litigation, in both state and federal courts and in arbitration and mediation. She represented individuals and private and public companies. Sallie graduated from Princeton University, and earned her law degree at Stanford Law School.

Hon. Lucy Koh

President Obama appointed Judge Lucy Haeran Koh to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in June 2010. Governor Schwarzenegger appointed her to the California Superior Court for the County of Santa Clara in January 2008. She was previously a McDermott Will & Emery partner, an Assistant United States Attorney, and a Special Assistant to the United States Deputy Attorney General.

Mr. David Lee

Mr. Randall Lee

Ms. Mae O'Malley

Mae O’Malley is the founder and managing attorney of Paragon. She began her career at the top San Francisco firm Morrison & Foerster before working in-house at several growing technology companies. She served as corporate counsel for Evolve Software and Escalate, Inc., then joined Sygate Technologies as director of legal affairs. She then worked as senior corporate counsel for Symantec until early 2006. Following Symantec, she joined Google as a contract attorney, working on complex content licensing including the StreetViews deal, while simultaneously founding Paragon Legal.

Dean Emeritus Donald Polden

Former Dean of the School of Law, Donald J. Polden, was the chief administrative officer and official representative of Santa Clara University law school. In addition to overseeing administration of all operations of the law school, he was responsible for relationships with the University administration, with alumni, and with the bench and bar.

Mr. Henry Su

Henry Su is a partner in Constantine Cannon LLP, a litigation boutique specializing in cases involving antitrust, commercial disputes, intellectual property, technology, and the representation of whistleblowers. He is a resident of the firm’s Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices, and a member of the California, District of Columbia, and Virginia bars.

Prior to joining Constantine Cannon, Henry worked for over six years at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., where he held several senior positions. He was a trial lawyer in the Bureau of Competition’s Litigation Group, investigating and litigating anticompetitive merger and conduct cases, which included the Commission’s successful challenge to the merger of St. Luke’s Health System and Saltzer Medical Group in Idaho. Henry also served as an attorney advisor to both Chairwoman Edith Ramirez and Commissioner J. Thomas Rosch during their respective terms in office, providing counsel on antitrust/competition matters and issues coming before the Commission.

Before entering public service, Henry practiced for 20 years with several law firms in Virginia and California, doing trial and appellate work, alternative dispute resolution, and strategic counseling. Although he specialized in cases involving antitrust and intellectual property, Henry also tried and argued a number of cases involving bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, criminal, habeas corpus, civil rights, veterans and constitutional issues. 

Henry has a B.S. degree in Biology from Yale University and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Litigation Counsel of America.  He has also held leadership roles within a number of bar associations and community service organizations, including the American Bar Association, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association. He was recognized by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC as a “Litigation Star” in the 2011 edition of Benchmark Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys.

Mr. Chester Te

Chester Te is Assistant General Counsel at SVB Financial Group, the parent company of Silicon Valley Bank, which provides commercial, international and private banking services to the software, internet, hardware, life sciences, cleantech, venture capital and premium wine industries through 34 worldwide locations. At SVB, Chester heads up management of enterprise-wide litigation; legal support for core operations, including Human Resources, Vendor Management, Security and Fraud, amongst others; and all legal matters pertaining to SVB’s valuations subsidiary, SVB Analytics. Prior to joining SVB, Chester worked in financial services at Wells Fargo and Smith Barney, and was a commercial litigator at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn in New York City. Chester graduated from Yale College and the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, Chester clerked for United States District Court Judge Alvin W. Thompson (D. Conn).

Chester has also served as the President of the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (Northern California chapter) (2012), and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Santa Clara County Bar Association (2012). He is currently Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and continues to serve as a board member of the Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services, which raises funds for legal services for the needy.

Ms. Gina Tsai

Gina Tsai is the Vice President of Sales at First Legal Network. Prior to joining First Legal Network, she was the Vice President of Litigation Solutions for the Western Region at Esquire Deposition Solutions. With background law firm experience obtained at Dorsey & Whitney and Bonne Bridges Mueller O’Keefe & Nichols, Gina provides her clients the know-how to anticipate their needs, thereby making the litigation process much less arduous. She is also active in the legal community volunteering at and sponsoring charitable events for numerous Bar Associations including AABA, BASF, KABANC, just to name a few.

Mr. Bijal Vakil

Bijal is the Executive Partner in Charge of the White & Case's Silicon Valley office. He is an intellectual property partner whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, strategic counseling, and technology licensing. He has represented clients in intellectual property cases in numerous district courts, the International Trade Commission, and before the Federal Circuit. Mr. James Yoon

Jim Yoon is an IP litigation partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati where he is a practice coordinator of the firm’s patent litigation practice. He is an adjunct professor (lecturer) at Santa Clara Law School where he teaches the IP litigation course. He is a lecturer at Stanford Law School where he teaches a course on the economic and technological forces transforming the private practice of law. He is a 1993 graduate of Stanford Law School and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute.
