Visit to Japanese American Museum & Japanese-American Internment Memorial

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, please join APABA-SV's Women in Law (WiL) Committee on Saturday, May 31, 2025 for a day of remembering and learning about the incarceration of Japanese-Americans during World War II.

We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Japanese American Museum of San Jose for a docent tour and then have lunch at Kaita restaurant. After lunch, we will walk (about 30 minutes) to the Japanese-American Internment Memorial by Ruth Asawa in front of the federal courthouse in San Jose.

APABA-SV WiL will cover the price of museum admission for ABAPA-SV members. For non-members, museum admission will be self-pay. Lunch will be self-pay. Please feel free to join us for any part of the day if you cannot join for the full day.

RSVPs are strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated, as we will coordinate with the museum on how many docents we will need, and will try to make a lunch reservation. Children/partners/friends are welcome but please note that the museum docent tour is intended for an audience of 4th grade and older.
