Please join us on May 12, 2022 for a celebration to honor and recognize APABA Silicon Valley Lifetime Member Judge Lucy Koh on her historic confirmation to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Judge Koh is the first Korean American woman to serve as a federal appellate judge, and the second AAPI woman from California to serve on the Ninth Circuit.
In her nearly 14 years on the bench, Judge Koh has presided over 271 trials and issued more than 3,250 written decisions in high-profile cases involving cybersecurity, intellectual property, antitrust, and other complex subjects, making her one of the most influential jurists in the Silicon Valley and beyond.
Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley is proud and honored to be Judge Koh’s home bar association. In addition to being an APABA Silicon Valley Lifetime Member, Judge Koh previously held positions as a Board member and as a co-chair of our Civil Rights Committee. A child of immigrants, Judge Koh has dedicated herself to helping to make the legal profession more accessible and inclusive.
