Please join the In-House Committee and Perkins Coie for a presentation on Ethical Considerations for the In-House Attorney Acting as Business Advisor. Nancy Cheng and Wendy Wang (both partners in Perkins Coie's Palo Alto office) will provide a practical guide to fulfilling an in-house attorney's professional obligations while protecting the company's legal interests. Questions addressed will include: What are the ethical implications for an in-house attorney who is acting in a business, not legal, capacity? Do the Rules of Professional Conduct apply to restrict an attorney's conduct in her business capacity? How is the scope of the attorney client privileged impacted by mixed legal/business roles?
