The Women in Law Committee is having its Annual Holiday Brunch in Palo Alto on Sunday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. Come mix and mingle with our members. All are welcome! Please remember to bring cash to cover your meal.
To RSVP, please sign up here.
In addition, we will be celebrating the upcoming holidays with a White Elephant gift exchange:
White Elephant n 1: very large, white, nearly hairless four-footed animal with a snout prolonged into a muscular trunk; or 2: an item you no longer need, but think it could be useful or desired by another person.
To participate in the exchange, please bring a wrapped gift of approximately $15 in value. The gifts can be practical gifts, re-gifts, or gag gifts – whatever you decide! The rules for the White Elephant are below.
Rules for White Elephant
All gifts will be placed in a pile.
Players will select gifts according to the number they are assigned.
Player number one will select a gift from the pile and unwrap it.
Each subsequent person has the option to either select a gift from the pile and open it or to “steal” an unwrapped gift.
If your gift is stolen, you then become the next player and have the choice to select a new gift from the pile or “steal” someone else’s unwrapped gift.
Each gift can only be stolen twice before it is frozen.
Each gift can only be stolen once per round. Every round ends when a new gift is opened from the gift table.
A gift cannot be immediately stolen back from the player who just stole it.
Once everyone has a gift, Player number one can trade their gift with any gift that is not frozen.
We look forward to celebrating with you all!
